The book about a young girl name Jo who struggles every day in life. At home she must take care of her mother who suffers from a mental illness. Even at school she struggles to fit in. Although she meets a boy, Christopher who is disabled. Even though he has a lot of trouble communicating, he manages to make Jo feel happier and helps her to forget about all the troubles in her life.

this book is about a young boy called Stanley who is sent to a punishment camp when he is accused of stealing from a homeless shelter. A curse of bad luck is said to run in his family. When Stanley gets to the camp he is finding it really difficult and is getting in to trouble. After awhile he runs away with another kid from the camp and are left for dead in the dessert. Stanley's send out a lawyer to save him from the camp. He is rescued and is proved to be innocent. I really enjoyed this book and would give it 9/10.AA
