This book is good but boring at places. I would give it 6/10

The trenches is about two boys who go to join the army and they lie about there age. They go to trenches and get gassed and brought to hospital. I would give it 8/10

Animal Farm is a book about a uprising that turns into utter chaos. One night the Animals decide to start a revolution against the humans,and turns out that leader turn against the
other animals. Brilliant book great writing by George Orwell 9/10.
The Karma Club by Jessica Brody
Maddy, has always wanted to be popular and when Mason was featured on the cover of a local magazine , she got what she wanted, but with a price. At a "friend's" party, Mason is caught cheating on Maddy with the most popular girl in school. She waited for Karma to work its magic, but it never happened, so with the help of her friends Angie and Jade, the decide to give Karma a bit of help. And this don't end up going as planned. I give the book 9/10
Being Her Sister by Claire Hennessy
Being Her Sister is about two sisters named Danielle and Rachel. Rachel is 12 and Danielle is 14. In this book Rachel starts going out with one of Danielle's friends. Danielle starts to get jealous and tries to break them up so she can have the boy. I would give this book 10/10 as I really enjoyed the book.
Lies by Michael Grant
Lies is the third book in the Gone series. In this book the town is set on fire by Zil and his gang. Sam is not in power anymore as a town council has been set up. I would give this book a 8/10.
The Fault In Our Stars by John Green
This is story was beautifully written! It is also very emotional at certain parts of the book. I recommend this book to anybody who likes to read sad love stories .I give this book a 10/10
Bad Day In Blackrock by John Boyne
This book is a bout four boys who go to a all boys school called Brookfield Collage. All t heir parents are very wealthy and expect the best out of their children. On the last night of Summer 2004 all the boys went out to a nightclub in Blackrock to celebrate their Summer . A fight happens between three of the boys and then a fourth joins in this is when Connor Harris gets kicked in the head and dies. After the inncident the boys lives are ruined.
Maximum Security by Robert Muchamore
This book is the third in the Cherub series. In this book James has to break a boy out of prison to get information about his parents. I would give this book a 7/10
Friend or Foe by Michael Morpurgo
This book is about two young evacuees from London who have to flee their city because of the war.
As they (David and Tucky) are on their adventure, they witness a German plane crash. When David and Tucky come across the two pilots, they have to decide if they are going to be their 'Friend or Foe'
I really enjoyed this book, it is very well written. I give this nook 8/10
zom-b by Darren Shan
this book is about a girl who lives in England, when the zombie apocolypse strikes she is left with no heart, yet still able to speak,eat,drink etc. Becky has to get out of the site she is being kept in captivity, this book is very well written and very enjoyable. I give this book a 8/10

Our November Book Reviews
The book 'Cool' by Michael Morpurgo is very good. It starts with a road accident involving the two main characters, Robbie and his dog Lucky. Over all I'd rate it six and a half out of ten because I thought it was a bit predictable.
Gone by Michael Grant
'Gone' is a book where everybody over the age of fifteen disappears and a giant impenetrable barrier appears. Normal is no longer existent and kids start killing each other.I would give it 8/10.
Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.
Kensuke's Kingdom is about a boy named Michael who goes on an adventure around the world with his Mum and Dad. One night he falls off the boat with his dog and gets stranded on a island.
Kensuke helps him get off the island and they become great friends. Truly amazing, 9/10
Zom-B by Darraen Shan
Zom-B is about a girl named B who is at school when the zombie apocalypse happens and her and her friends have to escape the school. There is a lot of twists in this story. Very well written, 8/10
The Outsiders by S.E Hinton
The outsiders is about a boy called Ponyboy who goes on a adventure it's full of well structured dialogue that tells the story in different perspectives.Breathtaking,9/10
Stay Where You Are and Then Leave
Stay Where You Are and Then Leave is a great war-themed book set in World War One. The book follows a young boy named Alfie as he struggles without his father. But something bad has happened, and Alfie must save him. I love this book 10/10
The Phone Goes Dead by Anthony Horowitz
The Phone Goes Dead is about a boy called David and a girl called Isabel who believe that they own
things that are being haunted by the dead. I really enjoyed reading this book and would give it 9/10.
The One Dollar Horse by Lauren St. John
'The One Dollar Horse' is about a girl called Casey who lives in a very delapidated part of London. She wishes she could ride in the Badminton Horse trials. One day she saves a horse from the knackers yard and she manages to train it. I really liked this book and I would rate it 9/10
Northern Lights by Philip Pullman
Northern Lights is about a young girl named Lyra who lives in a world where a part of a human's soul lives with them in an animal form, called daemons. When Lyra's friend, Roger goes missing, Lyra and her daemon set out to find him. This was an incredible read. 9/10
The Wildflower Girl by Marita Conlon
This book is about a young girl named Peggy and her journey to Boston after the Great Irish Famine. I give this book 10/10

The Gates by John Connolly
It is about a young boy and his fight to keep earth safe from the demons of hell.
I loved this book because it was interesting and very funny.

its a boy and his granddad telling a story about WW1 . The granddad goes to find his horse Joey who was taken by the English soldiers.
i liked this book because it was really interesting and accurate .

This book is about a young cancer patient, Hazel, who falls in love with a intriguing former cancer patient, Augustus. It is a romantic book filled with humour and tragedy and I really enjoyed it. There was so many plot twists and the characters were very relatable.

This story is about a boy who goes to live with his grandfather so the boy can teach his grandfather how to read. While living with his grandfather he learns things about the past of his family. I would rate it 8 out of 10.

This book is about an old man who goes out to sea, to find an enormous fish.
Th story explains the struggles and risks that he faces when he goes to far out!
What I liked best about this book was how the author brought up tension.

This book is about a girl called Anya who looks after her family, because both of her parents died when she was younger. Anya comes across a boy called Win, she falls in love with him but his father won't allow them be together because of her family's background involved in criminal activity. When her grandmother dies her brother becomes the legal guardian, but he has a mental disability , so Anya doesn't have much faith in him

This book is about a girl called Katniss Everdeen, Who volunteers to enter the games instead of her younger sister. She gets a lot of support from others and with that help she can far in the games.

This book is about a boy called Harry who is having trouble with his family. His mother remarries and and had a new baby. Harry befriends a chimpanzee called Ocky and decides to run away with her. They have a great adventure until they get chased. All in all everything turns out well for Harry.
